The Brooklyn Nets have seemingly turned the corner after getting off to a woeful start to the season.

Currently 22-25, the Nets have won seven of their last ten and moved to the Eastern Conference’s seventh seed – this after being multiple games out of the playoff race just a few short weeks ago.

But former NBA great and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley isn’t buying it, suggesting the Nets aren’t doing anything other than beating up ‘ugly chicks’ – a sentiment suggesting the fellow Eastern Conference teams the Nets have played and beaten aren’t very good.

"“When you play in the Eastern Conference, you’re going to go on winning streaks. Listen, the Nets stink, man,” Barkley said in a conference call to promote TNT’s coverage of next weekend’s All-Star festivities. “They lost their best player in Brook Lopez. Deron Williams has been inconsistent. They’re beating up on a bunch of ugly chicks in the Eastern Conference. Don’t act like they have a good team, stop it.”"

Fair or foul, FanSided? Does Barkley have a point? Are the Nets just on a hot streak, beating sub-par teams? Or have they actually turned things around?
