Could the NCAA’s biggest star eventually be playing with the NFL’s biggest franchise? It’s apparently a dream of quarterback Johnny Manziel, who recently suggested playing for the Dallas Cowboys would be a ‘folktale in the correct direction‘.

Manziel, who grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan hinted that he’d love to play for the organization he rooted for in his youth, though, seemingly understands that won’t be happening – at least not during the first few years of his NFL career.

"Me growing up as a Cowboys fan – I was born at halftime of a Cowboys game – that would almost be a folktale in the correct direction. We’d have to call that Johnny something else. I don’t know what it would be.”"

Somewhere, Jerry Jones is destroying the buttons on his phone placing a call to every general manager with a pick inside the top three selections.

Can you imagine the marketing? Manziel in a Cowboys uniform? The world might shift off its axis.

Currently the Cowboys will be selecting 16th or 17th, depending on their coin flip with the Baltimore Ravens.
