The Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons met in the 1998 NFC Championship Game and it’s been the biggest battle either of them have been in against each other since. But while that title game is memorable on either side for different reasons, there’s still thorn in the side of Viking fans and it’s one that every little victory over the Falcons helps heal.

One particular battle the two teams are in seems to be in this May’s NFL Draft, as the teams pick very close to one another and a looking at similar prospects. While the Falcons are looking to trade up into the very top of the draft, both Minnesota and Atlanta are eyeing UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr and plan on meeting with him in the near future.

Per FOXSports.com:

"“I know that meeting (withAtlanta) is on Saturday the 29th, but we’re still looking to confirm the location … I’m also meeting with the Cowboys, Titans and Vikings. Those are the few that stand out the most right now.”"

It’s clear that Barr is going to be second fiddle to Khalil Mack in terms of linebackers getting drafted this May, but the interest level in Barr is high and there’s no guarantee that he’ll go after his Buffalo counterpart.
