The Oakland Raiders already snatched up one former San Francisco 49ers defensive back in Tarell Brown and it looks like they’re entertaining the thought of plucking away another.

San Francisco opted to release Carlos Rogers earlier this month and after drawing interest from a small handful of teams, Rogers seems most intrigued with the Raiders, who’ll be hosting the veteran defensive back today.

Oakland has been adding veterans left and right and Rogers fits that profile as well as their need to improve their slot coverage.

In his prime, Rogers was a beast in the slot though struggled last season, eventually falling out of favor with the 49ers and refused to take a pay cut, resulting in San Francisco cutting ties.

The Washington Redskins were said to have interest in Rogers, but no movement ever came of that.

There’s been no talk of any contractual numbers, though given the current market, it’s not likely Rogers will be overly costly and could prove to be another solid veteran addition for the Raiders.
