When Malcom Floyd suffered a neck injury against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 15th of 2013, there were questions that loomed pondering if Floyd would ever play professional football again.

Floyd, who missed the remainder of the season has been working hard to return to the game that he loves though and according Chargers.com, Floyd will be in attendance for the San Diego Chargers offseason workout program.

"“I’ll definitely be there for that,” he said with his trademark ear-to-ear smile.  “I’m excited to be back and just be around my teammates again.  You don’t realize how much you take for granted until you go through something like I did, so it feels good to be back.”"

Floyd has been cleared for running and working out however he has yet to receive clearance for complete activity, so his participation will be limited. That said, given how serious Floyd’s injury was, just being back on the field and at the practice facility is welcome news.

‘M-80’, as he’s known, says he plans to be ready to play this season but has yet to receive any clearance in such..
