While Dallas Cowboys fans were understandably upset when the team cut DeMarcus Ware earlier this offseason, one person thrilled with the move was New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

Eli, who found himself on the wrong end of multiple Ware sacks over the years reportedly told his brother, Peyton Manning, that he’s thrilled Ware will be joining him on the Denver Broncos as he’ll no longer be on the receiving end of Ware’s punishment twice a season given their former NFC East divisional ties.

"Peyton: “Eli told me he was glad DeMarcus Ware was leaving his division, will no longer be hitting him.”"

Of course, we’re assuming the comment was made in jest though there’s probably a bit of truth to it deep down.

The younger Manning is probably a little gun-shy after last season which saw the former Ole Miss star constantly under pressure thanks to the Giants makeshift offensive line. Manning ended up being sacked an absurd 39 times and finished the season with a nasty high ankle sprain attempting to avoid another.
