The future of Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman will be decided up on before the weekend arrives, according to a report from ESPN1500. While the Wolves are looking to make a decision on Adelman as soon as they can, team president Flip Saunders will be meeting with Adelman to see whether or not he’ll be back to coach the team next season.

The meeting happening before the weekend means a decision is likely to follow very shortly. There have been rumblings that Adelman would be walking away from the team to care for his ailing wife, but so far no decision has been made.

Minnesota will want on rather quickly though as the search for a new head coach must be completed before any offseason moves are made and the Wolves have more than a few they need to take care of before next season.
