On Monday morning, news broke suggesting that the Dallas Cowboys would ‘do anything‘ to select Johnny Manziel in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Of course, that will likely be rather difficult unless Manziel slips in the first round. A trade to move up is always a possibility and this is far from the first time we’ve heard the Cowboys having serious interest in Manziel, but like before, Dallas isn’t commenting on the rumors.

"Stephen Jones couldn’t say much about Johnny Manziel on Monday because he says the Dallas Cowboys have yet to finalize where the quarterbacks rank on their draft board.“There’s not anything I can say about it,” the Cowboys executive vice president said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. “We haven’t quite gotten into sorting out the quarterbacks yet, that will come, in terms of finalizing our board.”"

The Cowboys are in serious need of upgrading their defense and quarterback seems to be one of the few positions they’re extremely solid in (despite Romo’s age), so Manziel doesn’t seen to be of need. Though, the Cowboys (specifically owner Jerry Jones) have been known to succumb to ‘want’ over ‘need’ before.
