Johnny Manziel doesn't think world could've handled Cowboys drafting him

As the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft carried on, Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel begin to slide down. When the No. 16 overall pick came up and the Dallas Cowboys were on the clock, some wondered if  Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones could’ve resisted Manziel, a player he had “developed a friendship” with.

The Cowboys passed and drafted Notre Dame offensive lineman Zack Martin instead. After the draft, Manziel said the world couldn’t have handled Manziel on the Cowboys.

“I don’t know if the world could’ve handled that, honestly,” Manziel said, via Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports.

He might have been right, it probably would’ve broken the internet. Living in Dallas the talk about Manziel possibly going to the Cowboys was constant and a hotly debated issue in town.
