Apparently there is a belief amongst some NFL Draft experts that Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones might not be able to resist picking Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel if he is available when their No. 16 pick comes up. According to Manziel, the two have developed a bit of a friendship and that could be one of the factors making the decision tougher.

“For me it would be really, really cool to go there, but not something I have stuck in my head,” Manziel told Pro Football Talk on Thursday. “Jerry Jones has been extremely nice to me. He’s treated me very, very well and we’ve developed a little bit of a friendship over the past year and a half, just going to games or whatever it be.”

Of course the Cowboys already have a starting quarterback in Tony Romo, but Manziel went on to say that he’d be just fine riding the bench and learning under a veteran quarterback. There are also reports that the Cowboys staff feels confident that they’ve dissuaded Jones from drafting Manziel.
