The FanSided.com editorial team combines decades of experience covering sports with deep expertise across leagues, teams and fan cultures. Our editors and writers are trusted voices in the industry, delivering informed, accurate and fan-focused coverage you can count on. 

Zachary Best, Co-Founder, EVP 

Zachary Best is the co-founder of FanSided and serves as Executive Vice President at Minute Media. Since launching FanSided in 2007, he has helped grow it into one of the leading fan-driven sports and entertainment networks. With more than 18 years of experience in digital media, Zachary leads FanSided’s brand strategy, editorial vision, audience development and strategic partnerships. He is also a passionate advocate for inclusion in sports, spearheading FanSided’s ongoing partnership with Special Olympics to elevate unified and inclusive storytelling. A lifelong sports fan, Zachary is a Kansas State Wildcats alum, Chiefs season ticket holder and devoted follower of F1, the Royals and the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Megan Melle, Senior Managing Editor

Megan Melle leads the FanSided editorial team as the senior managing editor. A longtime journalist and editor with 12-plus years of magazine and digital publishing experience, Megan has interviewed everyone from Kobe Bryant and Billie Jean King to Hillary Clinton and Reese Witherspoon. Before joining the FanSided team, she was the senior editor at Parade Magazine and Reader's Digest. Megan earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and helped build a quarterly magazine dedicated to Mizzou’s athletes, teams, coaches and stories. 

Ian Levy, Creative Director 

Ian Levy is creative editorial director for FanSided and helps direct coverage of the NBA, soccer and women’s sports. He’s been at FanSided since 2015, working in numerous roles and on projects as diverse as the launch of Nylon Calculus, Fandoms of the Year, Fan Voices, FanSided FORE, Why We Play, The Whiteboard and more. Before joining FanSided, he wrote about the NBA for multiple outlets, including FiveThirtyEight, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, VICE Sports, ESPN, Bleacher Report, The Sporting News and The Cauldron at Sports Illustrated.

Mark Powell, Content Director 

Pittsburgh-based journalist and FanSided content director Mark Powell has spent nearly a decade covering the MLB, NFL, NHL and NCAA. He is the lead MLB editor and runs the news desk for FanSided.com. Before working at FanSided, Mark spent time in various sports-related roles at Minute Media, including at 12up, and writing about the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Pirates as an editor for AT&T Sportsnet. Mark has covered everything from March Madness and MLB Playoffs to the NFL Playoffs and Stanley Cup Finals. 

Cody Williams, Content Director

FanSided content director Cody Williams is the lead NFL editor and has been covering all things college football, golf, college basketball, NFL, MLB and pro wrestling since 2013. Cody has more than a decade of experience in sports media and a BFA in creative writing from UNC-Wilmington. He's an avid fan of Viktor Hovland, hikes, Ed Cota, The Tonight Dough and Nomar Garciaparra, and has been tortured by the Dallas Cowboys since 1995.

Alicia de Artola, Editor

Alicia de Artola is an editor at FanSided.com, covering college football and basketball, NFL, MLB, NBA, English Premier League, Formula 1 and much more. She has more than a decade of experience in sports, and co-hosts Reign of Troy Radio, the popular USC football podcast. She’s covered games and practices, taken photos on the sidelines and interviewed Trojans legends as a USC beat writer from 2016 to 2019. Since 2020, she has taken a broader national focus, writing about every sport under the sun, including major events from the College Football Playoff and Super Bowl to the World Series and NBA Finals. A member of the Football Writers Association of America and Association for Women in Sports Media, de Artola joined FanSided in 2012 and has since been inducted into the FanSided Hall of Fame.

Chris Landers, Editor 

Chris Landers is an MLB expert and editor at FanSided, covering everything from baseball and football to college basketball and women's hoops. He previously worked for Major League Baseball, where he covered five World Series and three All-Star Games and even got to play video games with Blake Snell. (He lost.) His work has also appeared at NBC Sports and DraftKings over the course of a decade in sports media.

Quinn Everts, Editor 

Quinn Everts has been an editor at FanSided since September 2024, where he covers major U.S. sports with a focus on the NBA. He has been covering the league for nearly a decade, and his work can be found at NBA.com, Enjoy Basketball, Basketball News and Heavy Sports, among other outlets. He grew up in Portland, Oregon, and now resides in Philadelphia. And while his favorite teams keep trying to make him as miserable as possible, he refuses to give up hope.

Scott Rogust, Editor 

Scott Rogust is an editor at FanSided.com, covering the NFL, college football, MLB, NHL and professional wrestling. He has eight years of experience within sports media, and before joining FanSided, Scott wrote for 12UP and Double G Sports. He graduated from Rutgers University-Newark with a major in journalism and minor in biology. Scott has a vast knowledge of professional wrestling trivia and will understand any reference from The Simpsons. You should also know that he's a New York sports fan who has not felt joy since the Rangers made it to the Stanley Cup Final in 2014.

Robert Murray, MLB Insider

Robert Murray is FanSided’s national MLB Insider and co-hosts The Baseball Insiders Podcast. He has previously written for The Athletic and FanRag Sports where he has covered the World Series, MLB postseason and the Milwaukee Brewers. He has been a member of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) since 2018.

John Buhler, Lead Writer 

John Buhler is the lead writer for FanSided.com. He specializes in covering college football and the NFL on a national level, as well as his hometown Atlanta Braves. Nearly a decade into his writing career at FanSided, he has also written about MLB, NBA, golf, tennis and the Olympics. Buhler is a University of Georgia graduate (2012), but he spent most of his time in Athens enjoying the finer things in life than studying business management. He co-hosts the national college football podcast False Start with his FanSided.com colleague Cody Williams, and hosts The Blogging Dirty Podcast to hype up his beloved hometown Atlanta Falcons. In his spare time, Buhler loves singing karaoke and dominating in bar trivia.

Christopher Kline, Staff Writer

Christopher Kline is a staff writer at FanSided.com, where he covers the NBA, NFL, MLB and college sports. He specializes in the NBA Draft and has been analyzing collegiate and international prospects for the better part of a decade. He previously worked as the site expert and podcast co-host at The Sixer Sense, where he covered the day-to-day happenings around the Philadelphia 76ers. He has also covered the Sacramento Kings for Cowbell Kingdom. Christopher's work has been featured on ESPN and Merriam-Webster, as well as various NBA and NBA Draft newsletters. He is a UGA grad, a lover of film and an appreciator of nature's beauty.

Kinnu Singh, Staff Writer

Kinnu Singh is a sports journalist and staff writer at FanSided who covers breaking news and trending stories for all major North American sports. He specializes in NFL coverage, drawing from his extensive knowledge of football history and schemes to weave informative and thought-provoking stories. With a background in psychology and analytical research, Kinnu extracts the truths hidden within statistics and transforms numbers into meaningful words. He also writes “The Spiral,” a long-form column that analyzes game tape and delves into storylines from across the NFL.

Lior Lampert, Staff Writer

Lior Lampert is a staff writer for FanSided.com and has covered everything from the NBA and WNBA to the NFL, MLB, tennis, fantasy football and the Olympics. Before starting in his current role, Lior wrote for websites within the FanSided network, including GMEN HQ, covering the New York Giants, and Fantasy CPR. He also freelanced for forums including The Game Day, Odds Scanner, The Hammer Betting Network and GameTime Sharks. He earned a BA in English from Binghamton University in 2020 and an MS in sports analytics in management from American University in 2022. He’ll talk fantasy picks, The Boys, The Sopranos and the Marvel Cinematic Universe with anyone who asks.

Wynston Wilcox, Staff Writer

Based in Ohio, Wynston Wilcox is a staff writer for FanSided.com. He covers various sports and topics, including the NFL, NBA and college sports. Prior to FanSided, he spent seven years working at newspapers, including Gannett/USA Today Network. Wynston has received multiple awards as a sports writer, including two top 10 finishes in the APSE writing contest and was named the Best Young Reporter (under 30) by the National Sports Media Association for 2023.

Zach Rotman, Staff Writer

New Jersey-based FanSided staff writer Zachary Rotman is a baseball expert, covering the MLB for various sites since 2020. For FanSided.com, he covers sports across leagues, including the NBA, NHL and NFL. Before working full-time at FanSided.com, Zachary worked as the site expert for Halo Hangout, as a Los Angeles Angels writer, and was an active contributor for various FanSided MLB network sites, notably Rising Apple, writing about the New York Mets. Zachary was a sport management major at Drexel University and has revolved his life around sports for as long as he can remember.
