Our Story

FanSided was founded in 2007 by two brothers with a love for the Kansas City Chiefs and a desire to change how fans talk about sports. What began as a single blog is now one of the fastest-growing networks of fandom-focused websites and a part of Minute Media’s trusted family of brands (Sports Illustrated, The Player’s Tribune, Mental Floss, 90Min).

How to pitch us a story

Beyond our regular contributors, we are open to pitches for one-off pieces — opinion columns, essays, detailed analysis, interviews, reported features, cultural criticism related to the world of sports, fan fiction or anything else you might dream up. We are looking for stories about the world of sports both on and off the field and are very interested in stories from voices that are historically underrepresented in sports media, including women, POC, LGBT+ and more.
