The Philadelphia Eagles made a handful of roster moves on Saturday night once the 2014 NFL Draft came to a conclusion.

Among those moves were signing multiple undrafted free agents, including kicker Carey Spear.

Normally the signing of a collegiate kicker wouldn’t be newsworthy, but not every kicker is Carey Spear.

Known for his absurdly hard hitting tackles and desire to zero in on return men, Spear has received the nickname ‘Murderleg’.

"A three-time captain, Spear set a school single-season record as a senior with 99 points while connecting on 15 of his 19 field goal attempts. He made 35 of 43 field goal attempts the past two seasons. One Vanderbilt blog nicknamed him “Murderleg” and suggested he liked to launch himself at people on kickoff coverage. Spear will presumably compete with Alex Henery for the kicking job."

But just how hard does Spear hit? Take a look for your self.

Guess the proof is in the pudding.

If the whole kicking thing doesn’t work out, maybe Murderleg can add a few pounds and find himself on the defensive side of the ball because ouch.
