Kansas City Chiefs praise Demetrius Harris after minicamp
By Josh Sanchez
The Kansas City Chiefs are ready to kick off their veteran minicamp on Tuesday, but they have already got a look at their younger players at the rookie minicamp this past week. Rookies and young players still fighting to make an impact on the roster got an early start on the field and there is one player who has made a positive impression.

When head coach Andy Reid was discussing the team’s rookie minicamp, he made sure to point out second-year tight end Demetrius Harris as someone who was sticking out.
“This camp was great for him,” Reid said, via the Kansas City Star. “He played exceptionally well. He’s so big, and he’s worked so stinkin’ hard in that weight room. He’s been living in there this off-season and you can tell. You can tell he’s got stronger”
Harris, a converted basketball player, is an athletic freak.
With his athleticism and 6-foot-7, 230 pound frame, there is no telling what Harris will be able to do if he puts everything together.
He will just need to continue learning the game of football.
The Chiefs will already be relying heavily on Anthony Fasano as the blocking tight end and Travis Kelce as their pass catcher, but Harris will have the ability to stick on the roster and get some looks as the season progresses.
The biggest thing for Harris will be to show that he understands the playbook and is continuing to develop mentally as a player.
