Potential free agent to be Chandler Parsons hasn’t exactly hidden his desire to remain with the Houston Rockets as in recent weeks, he’s hinted that he’d be more than happy to remain in Texas.

More from Houston Rockets

The San Diego native made his intentions even more clear on Sunday night however during a question and answer sessions put on by the forward on Twitter.

Answering queries from fans, Parsons held no punches and when quizzed about his desire to remain with Houston, Parsons was quick to answer that he’d very much like to though, did add a caveat at the end suggesting that the fan might want to ask general manager Daryl Morey if it’s possible.

Parsons, still on his rookie contract, will be entering the final year of his deal if the Rockets are to exercise their team option on the forward, however, Parsons has been more than open about his desire for a new contract.

It’s an understandable stance given his $964,000 salary that doesn’t match his play, however, the Rockets are said to be in the chase for potential free agent Carmelo Anthony and will need every free penny to sign the current Knicks forward, assuming that’s a route they choose to explore.

Paying Parsons would all but end such a pursuit (unless they signed and traded Parsons) so it remains to be seen what the team plans to do with their up and coming star. But for Parsons, the decision is pretty clear – he wants to stay in Houston as long as the Rockets want him.
