There were a lot of famous names for the Florida State Seminoles that were introduced to the nation during the 2013 college football season, however one of the more famous characters was actually someone that never once took the field in pads during the ‘Noles’ pursuit of the national championship.

No, one of the more notable members of the football team last season was ball boy and student equipment manager, Frankie Grizzle-Malgrat; or as he was more affectionately known to the country, “Red Lightning.”
He earned that moniker for how seriously he took his job, sprinting up and down the sidelines faster than some of the players at times to make sure that quarterback Jameis Winston had the fresh football in his hands.
Well, during the Florida State football camp this weekend, Red Lightning made his presence felt once again, although maybe not in the way that he would have wanted to.
Watch in the video below as a camper, a wide receiver running a route, smashes right into the Florida State equipment manager in one of the hardest collisions of the year so far.
See, now that’s why you keep your head on a swivel at all times when you’re on the football field, no matter what it is you’re doing out there.
What might be most amazing from this whole video is the fact that after the collision happens, Red Lightning is the one that pops up as if nothing happened, while it’s the player with the helmet on that stays on the ground writhing in pain.
Maybe that’s why the ladies love Red Lightning so much. All the ladies love the tough guy.
