The Chicago Bulls, who own the No. 16 and No. 19 picks in Thursday’s 2014 NBA Draft have been putting in work attempting to move their selections. So far they haven’t found much interest as they’ve reportedly discussed trades with the Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

More from Chicago Bulls

Despite the inability to find middle ground on a deal, it’s expected that the Chicago Bulls will remain active through draft night in effort to move their selections, this according to Basketball Insiders.

“The Bulls are absolutely kicking the tires on a number of fronts, so they are expected to be active on draft night, if only in trading their existing picks.”

While moving their picks seems like a relatively foregone conclusion (they certainly don’t want to pay two guaranteed first round contracts) it’s also possible that the Bulls could be looking for a larger trade as rumblings have suggested the Bulls want to clear salary cap space.

Many assume the Bulls to be potential front runners for Carmelo Anthony in free agency, so moving money off the books seems likely if the Bulls do have serious intentions about being significant players in free agency.

Given all that, it sounds like Thursday night (and the coming weeks, as well) may be very busy for the Chicago Bulls.

Outside of the previously mentioned teams, there is no word on who the Bulls may be discussing trades with though pundits seem to believe that the franchise is either willing to move down or up in the draft as long as it rids them of their selections.
