Miami Heat Rumors: LeBron James not helping recruit free agents
By Josh Hill
The Miami Heat are trying to make sure they have a proper roster moving forward to convince LeBron James to return next season and commit to trying to win another title in South Beach. But the wheels are spinning off for the Heat and things are looking less and less positive on the LeBron front as the days go by.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Miami Heat are trying to get free agents for LeBron James this summer but they’re getting no assistance whatsoever from him in the recruiting process.
"“LeBron is the ultimate recruiter, but he hasn’t been any part of this process,” a league source tied to the Heat’s recruiting efforts told Yahoo Sports. “The first question they all ask is the same: ‘Do I get to hear from LeBron? What’s he going to do?’ “"
This isn’t particularly surprising but it’s also not all that positive for the Heat. LeBron has checked out in South Beach and it’s Pat Riley’s job to stroke LeBron’s ego and get him to come back. That just hasn’t been happening though and it’s starting to drive Miami’s best player in to the arms of another team.
A reported face-to-face meeting this week between the Heat and LeBron might go a long way in calming the waters, but right now there is a ton of tension in Miami and LeBron is no doubt distancing himself — if only temporarily — from the Heat.
