SEC Media Days are halfway through with the four-day event in Hoover, Ala. that serves as the unofficial kickoff to the 2014 college football season for me and has me counting down the days until the players strap on the pads and are back on the field.

More from College Football

August 14 is when the SEC Network makes its launch and two weeks later will air its first game with the Texas A&M Aggies and South Carolina Gamecocks. Over the next month, the network will feature all 14 member schools in the first four weeks of the season.

The SEC Network did their best to raise our excitement level and make SEC and college football fans even more anxious for real life football to be back on our televisions with the release of this hype video to promote the debut telecast between the new rivalry between South Carolina and Texas A&M.

The SEC Network is continuing to hammer out agreements to ensure that the network that will have Tim Tebow as one of its studio analysts can be seen in as many homes around the country as possible.

The two biggest holdouts thus far are DirecTV and Comcast who do not have an agreement to carry the new network that is likely to be the most-watched channel in homes in the southeast, but you can go to GetSECNetwork.com to demand the network from your TV provider today.

As a DirecTV subscriber, you better believe I have demanded they do what they need to do to bring the channel to my lineup or I’m going to have to switch to Dish Network to make sure I can have as much information and coverage of the premier conference in college football as possible.
