Coaches and organizations are always informing their players that they need to perform like professionals, both on and off the court as young fans are watching their every move. Maybe that should be taken in a literal stance, at least for one young basketball fan.

More from NBA

Where exactly this video is from is currently unknown, though it clearly shows two youth basketball teams playing each other. That much we know. We also know that #21 on the Bears (yellow-ish jersey) has been watching far too many clips of Dwyane Wade as he gave a flop that NBA players would be envious of.

More than that though, after the flop he gave the traditional self-applause clap as teammates cheered him on.

If only there were 17,000 fans booing and a handful of vulgarities being picked up by sideline microphones, I’d almost think I was watching an NBA game.

My favorite part might be #3 on the opposing team, clearly in disgust after the flop but almost seeming as if this isn’t the first time he has fallen victim to #21’s antics.

Also, if you listen closely at the end you’ll hear somebody yell out ‘that’s a bunch of crap’ though it’s hard to tell if that came from the court, sideline or bleachers (that’s my assumption).

I’ve seen players in youth leagues emulate NBA players pretty heavily before, though, it’s usually in terms of game equipment or shoes. Actually replicating their play on the court by flopping is a new one.

Hopefully he was fined two juice boxes after the game.
