Golden State Warriors rumors: Out of Kevin Love trade talks?
By Bryan Rose
The Golden State Warriors have been attempting to trade for Kevin Love ever since rumors leaked suggesting the All-Star power forward wanted out of Minnesota. Of course, their reluctance to trade Klay Thompson has throw a wrench (or several) into the trade talks and the two sides have yet to find a middle ground.

That should be of concern to the Golden State Warriors given the Cleveland Cavaliers continue their efforts to trade for Kevin Love, but according to Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News, the Warriors are no longer in the running to trade for the 25-year-old talent.
Kawakami cites the Golden State Warriors’ continued reluctance to part with the aforementioned Klay Thompson as to why they’re currently not in the mix.
Previously it has been reported that the Warriors weren’t interested in trading Thompson because it would hurt their defense as fellow guard Stephen Curry focuses more on the offensive side of the ball and isn’t exactly much of a stopper. Of course, a lot of fans in the Bay Area might not be buying that argument considering Thompson is the key holdup in the Warriors’ effort to acquire the young star forward.
Of course, as we’ve seen plenty of times before, front offices and owners can change their mind on the flip of a coin so it’s hard to say the Warriors are completely out of the race to trade for Kevin Love, but right now it looks as if they’re sitting in idle position.
