During the offseason, running back Bernard Pierce underwent surgery on the rotator cuff in his right shoulder, so there was some speculation about whether or not he would be fully cleared in time for the start of training camp this week.
For the Ravens and their faithful fan base, there is good news.
According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, Pierce has been “fully cleared” for the team’s training camp.
"“My shoulder definitely got a lot better,” Pierce said. “I know that this is when the real grind starts. It was strenuous today, but overall it was definitely helpful.”"
Last season, Pierce rushed for 436 yards and two touchdowns.
Pierce will have an opportunity to earn a bigger workload this season, and it will all begin with the first official practice on Thursday.
Luckily for him, he will be ready to go from day one.
