Richard Hamilton drawing interest from several NBA teams
By Bryan Rose
It appears as if Baron Davis isn’t the only former NBA veteran who’s looking to return to the league this season. Thankfully, unlike Baron Davis, Richard Hamilton is just a year removed from playing in the league and should find a much easier road back into the NBA.

Speaking to HoopsHype, the veteran shooting guard stated that he has received interest from multiple teams this offseason and has a few options for the upcoming season. But if that’s the case, why hasn’t he signed yet? Well, according to Hamilton (who is a free agent for the first time in his career), he’s just waiting for the right situation.
"Richard Hamilton: This season? Yes, yes. I’ve had a couple calls from teams.HoopsHype: Which teams?Richard Hamilton: Oh! I can’t tell you (laughs). I can’t tell you that, but there are opportunities for me… but I’m waiting for the right situation. Like my agent told me, I’m in the situation where I can actually pick where I want to go."
While Richard Hamilton refuses to name who exactly is interested, the fact that he has yet to sign would probably lead one to believe that he’s waiting for a call from a team with title aspirations who just so happens to have available minutes for a 36-year-old with creaky legs.
That’s not to say he won’t get it, but he might want to strike with the iron is hot if he intends to play in the NBA this coming season.
Hamilton last played for the Chicago Bulls where he averaged nearly 10 points per game on 43 percent shooting in 21 minutes.
