Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh accomplished something very special over their four years together with the Miami Heat. Besides for making it to the NBA Finals in four straight seasons and winning two title, all three superstars took pay cuts in order to stay together.

More from LeBron James

This offseason LeBron was not willing to take a pay cut, and deservedly so considering he is the best player on the planet. While money certainly factored into LeBron’s decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a lot of his decision had to do with his personal desire to return home and bring a title to Ohio.

Two days before LeBron’s announcement that he was returning to Cleveland, he and Wade spent time together on a flight to Las Vegas. Today, Dwyane Wade spoke about that plane ride with LeBron at his fantasy camp in south Florida. Ethan Skolnick gives us the rundown:

Wade also discussed his role on the Heat next season, as well as several other topics.

Wade struggled in the NBA Finals against the Spurs last season, so it will be interesting to see if he rebounds impressively at the start of next season. Now alone with Chris Bosh, Wade will have a heavier workload than seasons prior.
