1) Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos

What can you say about Peyton Manning? At 37 years old, Manning submitted the best season in the history of the NFL, and to be honest, it wasn’t that close. Manning set records in passing yards (5,477) and passing touchdowns (55) while operating an absolutely incredible offense in Denver, and if it wasn’t for the Super Bowl hiccup, the hype machine would be running in a higher gear than it already is.

Of course, there is some worry about Manning’s age as he enters his age-38 season, but if we put that threat and any lingering health concerns to the side, every objective measure lists Peyton as the top quarterback alive. The playoff and “clutch” worries are very real with Manning, but when the best way to “knock” a player is by simply referencing him as the best regular season quarterback of all-time, he is doing something right.

Peyton Manning holds the quarterback championship belt until further notice.
