The Baltimore Ravens had little trouble putting away the San Francisco 49ers in another edition of the Harbaugh Bowl as John got the better of Jim once again, just as he did in the Super Bowl two years ago.

More from Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore won 23-3 and held the 49ers to only 187 total yards of offense on the night as both teams had their preseason openers.

The defense for Baltimore was on point as first round rookie linebacker C.J. Mosley led the team in tackles with five and had a sack as the former Alabama Crimson Tide defender and 2013 Butkus Award winner looks like the real deal.

Mosley wasn’t the only standout defender on the night as Dominique Franks recorded an interception late in the fourth quarter to put a capper on a great opening night.

Franks is looking to make the team and provide some depth in the secondary and contribute on special teams in his first training camp with Baltimore after playing the first four seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons.

The interception off of 49ers quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson is not the same as if he picked off Colin Kaepernick, but it is an encouraging sign for the veteran out of Oklahoma that is hoping to find himself on the 53-man roster when the preseason ends.
