Do college students ever really know what they want? We all know students, let along student-athletes are prone to changing their minds about just about anything really. Such was the case for once-former South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Brendan Nosovitch.

It took Nosovitch just a few days to decide to change his mind after all and not transfer out of the Gamecocks’ program. He told GoGamecocks.com that he decided to remain part of the program instead of transfer so late in the offseason.

“Yeah, I’m sticking around,” the redshirt sophomore said at Sunday’s Fan Appreciation Day. “I’m staying.”

He went on to say that he was never 100 percent gone, but was just exploring his options earlier on this summer.

“I was thinking about it. It wasn’t a 100 percent kind of thing,” Nosovitch said, via GoGamecocks.com. “It was never 100 percent. I was just trying to weigh my options, to see what the best thing for me was.”

Previously it was thought that Nosovitch was transferring out of the Gamecocks’ program due to his want to continue playing quarterback. However it appears that he thought sticking it out at South Carolina would be better than trying somewhere else only to have to move positions once again.

According to GoGamecocks.com, Nosovitch will continue to play some quarterback but will also be working in some at wide receiver.

Considering he’s fourth or possibly fifth on the quarterback depth chart, it almost seems inevitable that a full-time move to wide receiver happens.
