Utah Jazz have potential to be ‘very good’ basketball team

While the top of the NBA’s Western Conference is littered with familiar franchises and names, there will be a time when those glory years come to an end for some franchises.

They’ll be forced into a re-building situation while young teams like the Utah Jazz will be in position to replace them. Question is, will they? There are a handful of up-and-coming teams in the NBA, especially in the Western Conference though few have a brighter future than the Jazz, at least according to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders.
"I love this team’s young core. I recently wrote about how Utah has assembled one of the best up-and-coming teams in the league (check out that article here). I think they have the potential to be very good in a few years. They have young talent at every position. I’m really excited to see what Dante Exum can do at the NBA level."
There’s no doubt the Utah Jazz have a very solid, youthful core. But will that talent mesh? More importantly, will a superstar emerge?
While not unheard of, it’s very difficult for a team to become a true contender without a superstar talent. Add in that the Utah Jazz aren’t exactly a free agent hot spot and they’ll need their talent to come from within. Some believe Dante Exum can be that guy, though not for a few years at minimum.
The Utah Jazz certainly wouldn’t be alone in their pursuit to breakthrough though they’ll have competition from teams like the Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and more.
