The Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers were said to be talking a Kevin Love-Andrew Wiggins trade since July and today the deal finally became official.

Love, who plans to wear No. 0 for the Cavaliers will now leave a losing Wolves franchise in the midst of a re-build and join a stacked Cleveland Cavaliers roster lead by none other than LeBron James himself.
It’s been widely suggested that LeBron James had a hand (more like an arm) in the Cavaliers acquisition of Kevin Love and The King couldn’t help but contain his excitement over the addition, welcoming Kevin Love to the Cavaliers on social media late Saturday afternoon.
Understandably, trades (no matter how widely speculated) can still be touchy subjects so James didn’t want to sound like an ungrateful former teammate (despite never playing with Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett), giving a mild but happy welcome to Love.
Although James likely didn’t want to come across as disrespectful to Wiggins/Bennett, LeBron has already gushed about the idea of playing with the All-Star power forward.
“I’m going to be very excited to have him,” James said. “I don’t really care about the 26 (points) and 12 (rebounds). I care about the basketball IQ. His basketball IQ is very, very high. I had an opportunity to spend 32 days with him on the 2012 Olympic team. It’s funny. I always told Kevin Love, `You’re very good, man.’ He always thought I was blowing smoke.
“I always told him he was going to be a reason why we won the gold medal, and he played a huge role for us. So I’m looking forward to it. He’s a great piece.”
Plenty of reason for everybody in Cleveland to be happy today.
