Buffalo Bills rumors: Jordan Palmer to join Bills soon
By Jack Crosby
Throughout three preseason games so far this summer, if there is one thing that you can say about the Buffalo Bills, it’s that the quarterback play has been less than stellar. And that goes top to bottom, all the way from the top with starter EJ Manuel to backups Jeff Tuel and Thad Lewis. Well, help could be on the way in the form of a recently released Chicago Bears signal caller.
According to Field Yates of ESPN, it seems very likely that the team will be grabbing veteran Jordan Palmer, who was recently let go by the Bears in favor of Jimmy Clausen. This move coming after the team released the fourth quarterback on their roster, Dennis Dixon.
Now this move of bringing in Palmer not only is for the benefit of having a viable backup on the team, but also to help in the progression of Manuel, who has not looked anything near like a first-round selection so far this preseason.

While not good enough to land a starting job on the field, Palmer is considered one of the more knowledgeable minds in the game in regards to playing the position, so he’s about as good of a mentor as you could find to help Manuel get his issues under control.
Because while it’s only his second season, the team has to be getting awfully close to just pulling the plug on the Maniel project, if he doesn’t show some significant improvement this season.
