Most teams have seen enough from their starters and using this game to get one last look at their fringe roster players.
For the Buffalo Bills, who have seen quarterback E.J. Manuel and their offense struggle throughout the offseason, that probably isn’t the case. Manuel is still trying to develop chemistry with his wide receivers and has already played deep into the first quarter in the Bills’ game against the Detroit Lions Thursday night.
During the first quarter, Manuel saw Robert Woods as he rolled to his right. Woods couldn’t hang on to the ball but it was tipped by a Lions’ defender and Woods caught the pass for a first down.
