NFL head coaching changes happen all the time and they don’t always happen to just guys who are losing. Sometimes a coach can lose his job thanks to circumstance, which could end up being the case for Doug Marrone and the Buffalo Bills.

More from Buffalo Bills

Adam Caplan of ESPN.com, sweeping changes could be coming to Buffalo in the near future if the team doesn’t post a winning season in 2014.

The Insider’s only piece features another blurb from Caplan where he points out the ownership change on the horizon for the Bills and how that could also bring about the end of the Marrone era in Buffalo. That’s not to say a change will happen, but a new owner would want to bring in his own guy anyways and losing would only serve as further justification for doing so.

It’s going to be an interesting season in Buffalo to say the least, but it’s very possible that a new head coach could be leading the Bills for new ownership when the 2015 season kicks off.
