College Football rankings: Week 2 AP poll released; FSU remains at the top

The first week of college football for 2014 is in the books, and it was a rather eventful one. We saw a few upsets, and we were introduced to some Heisman hopefuls in the process.

But what stood out to most people were how much a few of the top teams struggled to get the season going. Top-ranked Florida State needed everything it could to defeat an Oklahoma State team that everyone thought they would just roll over, similar to the way they took care of most of their business last season en route to their national title.

Then, earlier in the day on Saturday, the second-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide were shocked by the way the West Virginia Mountaineers came to play in their contest in Atlanta, leaving them with a few question marks going forward.

Of course, this begs the question of how those performances, and others (See: Texas A&M) could affect the rankings. Well on Tuesday, the AP Poll was released, and here is a look at how it all panned out after Week 1 and heading into Week 2, via the Associated Press.
