While Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib cashed in a lucrative contract this offseason, the defender knows who pays the bills.

That’s quarterback Peyton Manning and paying homage to the Broncos’ signal caller, Talib decided he’d make a fashion statement with Manning in mind. So what did Aqib Talib do? Wear some khaki pants? Maybe a shirt that reads ‘Omaha’? Nah, Talib went one better and wore socks with Manning’s likeness on them.
Yep, during Thursday’s practice the All-Pro defender headed out to the practice field wearing socks with Peyton Manning’s face on one side and his name/number on the back side.
Needless to say, the socks were a huge hit during the Denver Broncos’ practice.
Seriously, how sweet are those? Why Talib was wearing the Peyton Manning inspired socks is unknown, though hopefully this is something that catches on with the rest of the roster. How hilarious would it be if every player came out to practice wearing Peyton Manning’s face?
Sadly, thanks to the NFL’s strict uniform policy, there’s no chance these could see any field action (awesome as that might be) unless somebody wanted to irk the league and draw a rather significant fine. I’m not saying that would be worth it, but, if you’re going to get fined for a uniform infraction….
