Talent has never been a question for Sacramento Kings big man, DeMarcus Cousins. Blessed with a unique skill set, the former Kentucky product has been a statistical magnet during his first few seasons in the NBA.

The problem for Cousins has been a rather poor attitude paired with an overly emotional style of play. Often that leads to outbursts and/or ejections which frustrated his teammates. However, DeMarcus Cousins proved that he has matured with his play for Team USA and has taken a leadership role for the Sacramento Kings as of late.

Given that, many expect Cousins to be a breakout player in the NBA this season, including Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com.

"I’m tempted to say Klay Thompson, because I think he’s ready to make a big leap this year. But you already know Klay is good so DeMarcus Cousins is the pick here. The experience of playing for Team USA this summer — and learning from all the great players in that program will be invaluable to his development. If he matures and continues to add to his game, he’s got the talent to dominate games."

In a league essentially void of elite center talent, DeMarcus Cousins has plenty of room to feast this season and while it may not be enough to get the Sacramento Kings to the postseason, he’ll certainly have them off on the right foot.
