The Miami Dolphins have a storied franchise featuring multiple Hall of Famers, NFL championships, the league’s only undefeated season, and a plethora of all-time greats.

With so many sensational players to have suited up for the Dolphins in their 48 years, there are quite a lot of names worthy of being inducted into the Dolphins Ring of Honor or Walk of Fame.

Today, prior to their matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs at home, the Dolphins inducted four new members into the Walk of Fame as Jeff Cross, Tony Nathan, Ed Newman and Sam Madison had their names forever engraved in front of Sun Life Stadium, joining the likes of Dan Marino, Kim Bokamper, Bob Griese, and many more.

“This is more sweet with the passing of time,” former four-time Dolphins Pro-Bowl guard Ed Newman said after the ceremony. “Fame usually fades, but it is nice to have a legacy. Someday I will look forward to showing my grandson that his grandpa did something good for the Dolphins.”

Newman, who played 12 years with the Miami Dolphins and won a Super Bowl in 1973, shared the same sentiment as his fellow inductees today. All four men were honored to be a part of the Miami Dolphins organization, and even more proud to be etched in Dolphins history for their achievements on the field.
