Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti faced the media on Monday afternoon to address an ESPN report that raised questions about the knowledge the team had in regard to the Ray Rice assault on his then fiancee Janay Palmer and his integrity as an owner.

Bisciotti denied the reports that John Harbaugh wanted to release Rice in February when the assault took place, thought Rice would get a four-six game suspension and was stunned when it was only two games and said no one is losing their jobs in the wake of this issue.

However, with so much blame being thrown at the Ravens in their mishandling of this one media member asked Bisciotti if he will sell the team. It is a fair question considering Rice lost his job and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell fielded questions last week about if he has considered resigning and a number of current and former players calling for a change.

Don’t expect Bisciotti to sell the team on his own volition.

“If they force me to sell, then I guess I’ll sell,” Bisciotti said.

Whether he sells the team or not remains to be seen, but I highly doubt he will be forced to sell the team. However, Bisciotti let his personal feelings for Rice get in the way of making the right decision and his judgment as an owner was rightly questioned.
