Decker had been officially listed as questionable on the Jets injury report for the game after not practicing on Thursday and Friday and only practicing on a limited basis on Saturday.
However, after going through drills and warming up on the MetLife Stadium field about two hours prior to kickoff, he told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that he felt good.
The Bears faced a similar issue in their Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers with Pro Bowl receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery both questionable with ankle and hamstring injuries.
After the Bears duo warmed up prior to the game were given the green light. Marshall had three touchdowns in the team’s win, could Decker see a similar fate tonight against the Bears who are without two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Tillman?
If he plays well it could held the Jets efforts toward picking up a big win in front of the home crowd, but is it worth the risk of playing on the balky hamstring and risking a potential setback?
