By Bryan Rose
While Byron Scott of the Los Angeles Lakers believes Kobe Bryant couldn’t be an NBA coach, some feel the opposite about Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett.

Incredibly intense and said to be a wonderful motivator/leader in the locker room, Garnett seems to have the needed intangibles to reside on the sideline. Of course, Kevin Garnett needs to have interest in becoming a coach which apparently something he wants nothing to do with.
When questioned about eventually joining a coaching staff arose during the Brooklyn Nets’ media day, Garnett held no punches and made it clear he has no plans for such once he does eventually retire.
While coaching may not be in Kevin Garnett’s plans it doesn’t mean he’s planning to leave the game completely once his sneakers are hung up for the final time. It’s been said that Garnett is seeking a position within an NBA franchise (just not coaching) and the Brooklyn Nets are interested in providing him with such. As to what capacity Garnett would be working in once his playing days have come to an end, that’s currently not known though it would likely be centered around basketball operations.
Kevin Garnett said he never thought about retiring during the offseason though isn’t sure what the next offseason will bring.
