One might say that San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence marches to the beat of his own drum. And in doing so, likely marches in an very awkward form.

The veteran is more than open about his unconventional play and personality, which he put on display during San Francisco’s Game 3 loss to the Washington Nationals in the NCDS on Monday afternoon.

Pence, not wanting to deal with San Francisco traffic, famously ordered a custom scooter which allows him to leave the ballpark and get home in a reasonable amount of time. The scooter became so popular that multiple San Francisco Giants teammates decided to order their own, though few ride it as proudly as the outfielder as we found out yesterday.

With local San Francisco news covering the game, a reporter was in the midst of a live report when a man came driving by on a scooter. That man was none other than Hunter Pence who had a rather hilarious grin on his face as he zoomed by the live shot.

Such a photobomb would have been funny enough just to see Pence motoring by on his electric scooter but when combined with the headphones and epic grin, how can you not laugh?

Pence has become a leader for the San Francisco Giants thanks to his quirky habits and this is just another in a long line.

The San Francisco Giants will attempt to eliminate the Washington Nationals with a Game 4 victory on Tuesday night. If unable to do so, Pence and his crew will return to Washington for a winner-take-all Game 5.
