Despite being one of the best programs in the nation, Kansas State wasn’t getting a ton of love in regards to their matchup against the always tough Oklahoma Sooners.

So far though they’re proving many of the pundits and analysts incorrect as the Wildcats have given the Sooners everything they can handle and more.

That includes quarterback Jake Waters who is in the midst of a very solid game and tossed a go-ahead touchdown to wide receiver Tyler Lockett mid-way through the second quarter.

With the Oklahoma defense attempting to hold Kansas State to a field goal, Waters dropped back on a third and goal from the 11-yard line and saw the streaking Lockett going across the middle. That’s all it took for Waters who tossed a seed through the heart of the Sooner defense and found Lockett tight roping along the back end-line.

Obviously a tough blow, the Sooners aren’t going to let the lack of a defensive stop on a third and goal be their downfall as they continue to battle back against the Kansas State Wildcats in one of the best matchups. on Saturday afternoon.

Given the 35 points the two teams have combined for just minutes into the second quarter, it seems as if we’ll have a shootout on our hands before the final whistle sounds.
