For 59 minutes and 55 seconds on Sunday afternoon, it was not looking good for game balls to be handed out in the Buffalo Bills locker room after the game. All that mattered though as the last five seconds. In the NFL even that can seem like an eternity sometimes though.
With Bills quarterback Kyle Orton’s touchdown pass to receiver Sammy Watkins with one second on the clock gave the Bills a 17-16 come from behind win over the Minnesota Vikings. For awhile there, it didn’t look good and the Bills would need to wait until next week at least before new owner Terry Pegula would see his team win.
Pegula looked like a kid on Christmas morning in the photo. I’m sure there were a lot of faces like that in the stands after the win. The Bills lost last week to the New England Patriots, so the celebration had to wait a week. However what a game for Pegula to get his first win as an owner. People will usually always remember the first time but in the fashion in which they won it just adds to the memory
He probably didn’t enjoy the win all that long though as it was learned after the game Bills running back C.J Spiller broke his collarbone and is out for the season. Bills running back Fred Jackson also left the game with an apparent groin injury. He is due for a MRI.
