The New Orleans Saints have been a pretty big disappointment so far this season, and they are looking to even their record up at 3-3 with a win over the Detroit Lions this afternoon.

It has been very difficult to figure out why the Saints are struggling, but they need to turn things around soon in order to have a chance at a postseason appearance.

Drew Brees has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for quite some time now, and has been leading his team all game long so far this afternoon. He put his team up 17-3 with a beautiful 46-yard touchdown to wide receiver Kenny Stills, and the offense is looking fairly good for the most part this week. This play was a beauty, and is the type of dynamic play that New Orleans is used to.

Needless to say, it’s good for the Saints to see this type of a play once again. There is no doubt that they have the ability to make big plays each and every week, but they have been few and far between this season. Brees hasn’t looked like his normal self this year either, but that play right there showed exactly what New Orleans has gotten from Brees throughout his career.

Detroit isn’t going to lay down without giving up a fight, and this game is far from over.
