Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel surely made his presence felt at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ season-opener against the New York Knicks on Thursday.
A fan, sitting a few rows behind Manziel at the game, caught the Browns quarterback screaming and cursing at referees during the contest.
Watch the video below. (Warning: It features foul language.)
Manziel is known to be good friends with LeBron James and has been a Cleveland sports fan since being drafted by the Browns, so his anger at what he felt to be a bad call makes sense.
Still, cursing and screaming at a referee isn’t a good look for a guy whose maturity has been questioned by many. This will probably bloom into a mini-controversy that neither the Browns or Manziel want to deal with. So maybe Manziel should keep his anger on the inside next time he’s sitting courtside.
The Knicks defeated the Cavs Thursday as LeBron struggled mightily, scoring just 17 points and having eight turnovers.
The Browns selected Manziel with the No. 22 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. He has thrown just one pass this season.
