Curt Schilling Tweets Advice To Johnny Manziel
By Evan Massey
Former star pitcher Curt Schilling tweeted out advice to Cleveland Browns’ rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Johnny Manziel has gotten off to a very slow start in his career this year with the Cleveland Browns, and he ended up being hobbled with a hamstring injury after taking a pretty big hit last week. He hasn’t looked poised at all, and he hasn’t shown the ability to make plays with his legs either.

Cleveland is beginning to question whether or not they actually have a franchise quarterback, and they are reportedly interested in finding a way to bring Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota to town.
There have been quite a few critics of Manziel since back in his college days, and he hasn’t found a lot of true supporters. That being said, there are those that believe he can become a very good NFL starting quarterback. Former MLB pitching star Curt Schilling took the time to tweet out some advice to the rookie.
It was a bit of a strange tweet to put out there, especially due to Manziel already having said that he understands he needs to improve. One thing that can’t be taken away from him is that he is a proven winner throughout his career.
Obviously rookie quarterbacks can use advice from any successful athlete, and perhaps this advice is something that Johnny Football needed to hear. Next season will be a completely new slate for Manziel, and there are going to be very high expectations for him following a full offseason of work. The Browns aren’t going to give up on him, but he needs to keep working hard towards being the best.
