After Ole Miss lost to TCU in the Peach Bowl, one crazy college football fan accidentally took a cab from Atlanta to Oxford, Miss.

Well, it wasn’t just Ole Miss Rebels football team that took a beating on New Year’s Eve.

An Ole Miss fan’s wallet also took a beating of its own after he accidentally spent $908.00 on an uber that took him from Atlanta back to Oxford, Miss. after a night of partying, according to Busted Coverage.

Ole Miss fans were in town to watch their team get stomped by the TCU Horned Frogs 42-3, and it appears the beat-down was too much for one man to take.

Apparently, the man called an uber after partying at the Peach Bowl Party, you know, to avoid a DUI. As his “cousin” (@ompowderblues) claimed on twitter, the man entered his home address into uber instead of the place he was staying in Atlanta and then passed out. When he woke up again, he was in Mississippi.

Atlanta is a five hour drive from Oxford, Miss., so that guy must have been hammered to sleep for that long in a car.

The story seems a little far-fetched, but I can’t see why anyone would make it up other than a prank on the world, which makes me wonder if Nathan Fielder from Comedy Central’s Nathan For You is somehow behind it.

While uber is a convenient service, just download the app and in two taps on your touchscreen phone, you can have a car. I used to use uber all the time, but because of their terrible business practices, I’ve stopped using the service.

Obviously, people should be aware of how much they are paying for a taxi, but all it takes is a quick google to see how people all over the country are being taken advantage of by the cab company.

According to Business Insider, a woman in Baltimore, Md. went out on Halloween and paid $362.57 for a 20-minute ride. She couldn’t afford the trip, so she started a GoFund.Me page and asked people to help pay for her cab. By the end of one day, random strangers had given her $512, so she could pay the bill.

Maybe, just maybe, Ole Miss nation can band together and take care of their brother who paid the a $900 price for his drunken stupidity.

Or, maybe, TCU fans can put up the money because they’re likely what caused this guy to drink himself from Atlanta back to Oxford in one night.

Moral of the story: $900 is still cheaper than a DUI. Don’t drink and drive, people.
