A championship bull thinks the Seahawks will be winners of Super Bowl 49.

No, not the Chicago Bulls.

Yes, an actual bull.

If Super Bowl Media Day hasn’t already painted the picture for you, no major sports championship brings out the “weird” more than the Super Bowl, and animals picking who will win the matchup is one of my favorite things ever.

Hence me writing about Bushwacker the Bull, a three-time world champion, who has his mind decided on who he thinks will win the Super Bowl: the Seattle Seahawks.

Bushwacker’s owner says Bushwacker knows his football, so I 100% believe that he knows his football, but if I had to guess from watching the video, it doesn’t look like Bushwacker has his mind made up about who’s going to win the biggest sporting event in the United States.

More from New England Patriots

If you’re going to be unsure about a pick, going with the defending NFL champions isn’t a bad idea. Everyone knows what this group is capable of, especially after dismantling Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in last year’s Super Bowl. And this off-season, they created more magic after an awe-inspiring comeback in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, thanks in part to a Packers player not doing his job — it also helped that Russell Wilson, after throwing four interceptions in regulation, got his mind right toward the end of the fourth quarter, running in a touchdown, completing a two-point conversion and throwing the game-winning touchdown.

And then there’s the defense: Seattle’s secondary isn’t referred to as the “Legion of Boom” for absolutely nothing. While Richard Sherman is the face of the bunch, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor the heart and soul of the best defensive back group in the NFL.

Of course, it won’t be easy for the Seahawks: the New England Patriots aren’t pushovers.

We know all about the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick tandem that’s led the Patriots to five Super Bowl appearances and three Super Bowl victories since 2000. But this group is more than those two. They have a much improved defense, led by Darrelle Revis and former Seahawks DB Brandon Browner and a running back in LeGarrette Blount who has caused havoc since joining the team after a short stint with the Steelers.

Annnnnd there’s the one-man wrecking crew and arguable “best player in the NFL” in tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Surely enough, I’m interested in seeing if Bushwacker is right, bull or not. We’ll see in less than 48 hours though.
