As a rival city of the New England Patriots, New York is home of some of the most famous tabloids and they’re all taking shots at Tom Brady over Deflategate.

After the Ted Wells’ report was released on Wednesday evening, many people saw the criticism of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was going to be coming in full force. The internet exploded with hatred for the “cheating organization” as well as the quarterback who has won them four Super Bowl rings.

Brady, the 37-year-old quarterback who will be 38 before the start of the 2015 season, is coming off his fourth Super Bowl win as well as his third Super Bowl MVP following the 2014 regular season. He had brought a seemingly-average Patriots team to the playoffs and led them all the way to Super Bowl Sunday, winning over the Seattle Seahawks in impressive fashion.

As one of the most famous football players of our time, Brady does everything it takes to win football games — even if it means deflating footballs used on offense to give his team an advantage.

While it may not seem like a big deal to let air out of a football and it can’t seem to be an advantage for one side or the other, it gives the offense an advantage big-time. First of all, each team uses their own ball on offense, and the Patriots’ one was aired out a bit. Secondly, it gave Brady and his receivers a better grip on the football in the cold weather.

Now that the Deflategate report is out, revealing that Brady was ‘generally aware’ of the balls being deflated to give his team an advantage, New York tabloids aren’t holding anything back with their ridiculous headlines.

The New York Post revealed one this morning as did the the New York Daily News.

Sure, that’s a pretty solid front page, slamming the MVP quarterback, but it’s the back cover that got all the attention from the Daily News.

The obvious Pinocchio liar reference is pretty hilarious, but the fact that the paper is so concerned about Brady’s balls is a little too much.

Expect more tabloids to come out with headlines like these in the upcoming days and I can’t see the New York outlets stopping this any time soon. They’re just having way too much fun.
