It may only be preseason football but Brian Hartline showed off some of his skills tonight

Brian Hartline has had a solid NFL career so far. He just finished playing six seasons with the Miami Dolphins, putting up 298 receptions with 4,243 yards. Two of those seasons eclipsed 1,000 yards.

During the offseason, Hartline signed with the Cleveland Browns, who are known for their weak receiving corp.

Well, Hartline showed Saturday night why he could be one of Cleveland’s better wide receivers with this incredible catch against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tonight:

Hartline somehow got both feet down in such a short time since QB Josh McCown was so close to him when throwing the pass. It was certainly an impressive feat for the veteran.

The hope is for Hartline to be one of the Browns’ leading wide receivers. He’ll team with Kansas City Chiefs castaway Dwayne Bowe, who was also signed in the offseason. They’ll boost up a horrendous group that should have been headlined by Josh Gordon, if it wasn’t for his constant off-the-field issues.

The question is who will be getting these players the ball. While McCown does have plenty of experience, he struggled mightily last year after signing a deal with the Buccaneers. There’s also Johnny Manziel, who could take over the starting QB job sometime this year if McCown doesn’t impress head coach Mike Pettine and company.

After this catch, all the Browns can hope for is more of this during the season so they can improve on one of the league’s worst offenses from last year.
