The Virginia Tech Hokies are taking on Ohio State in the opener for the season and they have some pretty sweet helmets ready

The college football season is set to get underway this upcoming weekend, and one of the premier match ups that we’ll see will take place next Monday when the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Blacksburg to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. As we know already, this is a game that everyone will have their eyes on, not just because it’ll be the only game on Monday night, but we all remember what happened last season when these two faced off. The Hokies handed Ohio State their only loss of the season.

With a game like this that carries such huge implications, you expected that Virginia Tech might pull out all the stops when it comes to their uniforms. We really expected this because this is a game taking place inside Lane Stadium at night, which we’ve learned throughout the years is always a special occasion.

So, that being said, the Hokies unveiled some pretty awesome metallic orange helmets that they’ll be wearing as they try to take down the Buckeyes for the second season in a row.

Those are some pretty awesome lids Frank Beamer’s crew will be rolling out to the field with next Monday. Now, they just have to go out and win again, which won’t be an easy task. Especially when you consider how angry Ohio State is coming in.
